Biodiesel Automobile Fuel

Probably the most widely asked question about biodiesel automobile fuel is: “Can I use biodiesel in my car?” The answer is yes, but only if you have a diesel engine. Converting your gasoline engine to a diesel-run motor, however, would take more money and resources than buying an entirely new engine. There is algae-based biodiesel and biofuel made from vegetable oil and animal fat. Some have biodiesel percentages mixed with fossil fuel-based petroleum. The blends vary from using only five percent of biodiesel with petrol to unmixed pure biodiesel. These mixes are labeled with the letter “B” and the numbered percentage of biodiesel noted right after. For example, the designation “B100” equates to 100% pure biodiesel automobile fuel. Just by switching to a lower blend ratio of B20 results in lower emissions and a higher rate of lubrication in your engine.

The benefits of using biodiesel automobile fuel include not only a lower cost for each time you fill up your tank, but how it affects your engine overall. Studies have shown that vehicles utilizing biofuel need fewer repairs done, emit lower emissions into the atmosphere and actually helps to lubricate the motor from use.
