Alga (the singular form of algae) is a naturally renewable resource that is extremely easy to generate. The best to use for algae biodiesel, however, is the kind that lies over ponds, also termed as “pond scum”.
Algae play an amazing part in biodiesel production. During the process, it exchanges carbon dioxide from the air with oxygen. Algae biodiesel plants are being constructed near energy manufactories that turn out large quantities of carbon dioxide. Through recycling the carbon dioxide output, the algae being used is diminishing pollution. Other perks of using this method of biofuel production include feedstock and fertilizer byproducts that do not upset sources of other food.
